Feni district leads Comilla Education Board in SSC and equivalent exam results

Feni district has secured the top position in the latest Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results under the Cumilla Education Board, outperforming the board’s overall average. Feni recorded a pass rate of 72.62 percent, significantly higher than the board’s average of 65.42 percent.

Across the district, a total of 1,364 students achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA)-5 across SSC, Dakhil, and vocational examinations. Specifically, 1,128 students secured GPA-5 in the SSC examinations, 183 in Dakhil, and 53 in vocational courses. Five educational institutions in the district achieved a 100 percent pass rate.

Data from the district administration’s education section and the District Education Office indicates that 14,910 students from 189 institutions participated in the SSC examinations. Of these candidates, 10,828 passed while 4,087 failed. Feni Girls’ Cadet College emerged as the top-performing institution, with 55 out of 56 students achieving a GPA-5. The college maintained its status as one of the best-performing schools under the Cumilla board.

Under the Madrasa Education Board, Feni recorded a pass rate of 73.94 percent, with 4,356 out of 5,891 candidates passing. Al Jamiyatul Falahia Kamil Madrasa led the district’s religious institutions with a 94.36 percent pass rate, seeing 318 of its 337 candidates succeed, including 70 students who achieved a GPA-5.

In the vocational education sector, 1,159 students participated across the district’s six upazilas, with 918 passing for a success rate of 79.20 percent. Fifty-three students in this category earned a GPA-5.

Feni Deputy Commissioner Monira Haque lauded the achievement, stating that the students’ superior performance under the Cumilla board is a source of great pride and positive news for the residents of the district.
