Dhallywood actor Taskin Rahman in talks for comeback in Tanim Rahman Angshu directed space drama Limbo

Dhallywood actor Taskin Rahman is reportedly in discussions to make a return to the silver screen, potentially starring in Tanim Rahman Angshu’s upcoming film, “Limbo.” The actor, who has been largely absent from the industry due to health complications, is currently undergoing medical treatment in Australia.

Taskin Rahman first gained prominence in 2017 with his breakthrough performance as a villain in the blockbuster “Dhaka Attack.” His portrayal was highly praised by audiences and critics alike, marking a significant debut for the actor. Although he appeared in the film “Casino,” which was released in 2023, the project had been filmed several years prior. Following these roles, Taskin largely retreated from the public eye as reports of an eye ailment surfaced, leading to his relocation abroad for specialized care.

Director Tanim Rahman Angshu is set to return to filmmaking after a seven-year hiatus with “Limbo,” which is being billed as the country’s first space drama and cosmic romance. The director confirmed that he has initiated talks with Taskin regarding a potential role in the production.

Regarding the production timeline, Angshu stated that shooting for “Limbo” is tentatively scheduled to begin in December. Further details regarding the cast and the film’s scope are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

However, the director emphasized that Taskin’s involvement remains contingent upon his health. While the discussions have taken place, Angshu noted that the actor’s recovery process is ongoing and it is currently difficult to provide a definitive update on his physical condition. The director stressed that Taskin requires additional time to fully recover before a formal commitment can be made.
