Veteran Actor Mithun Chakraborty Discharged from Hospital Following Successful Hand Surgery

Veteran Indian actor Mithun Chakraborty has been discharged from the hospital following a complex surgical procedure on his hand. The actor was released on Saturday, August 8, after a successful recovery period under medical supervision.

Upon leaving the facility, the 75-year-old actor expressed his gratitude toward the medical staff, noting that his recovery was swift. He specifically thanked the team of specialists who oversaw his care, remarking that he could not believe how quickly the three days in the hospital had passed. Chakraborty highlighted the high level of care he received from the nursing staff, noting that he regained the ability to grasp objects with his fingers as early as the day of his surgery.

The surgical procedure on his right hand took place on Thursday, August 6. Hospital officials confirmed at the time that the operation was successful. Following the surgery, the actor remained under close medical observation to ensure a stable recovery.

During his hospital stay, Chakraborty received visits from several prominent figures. West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari visited the actor on Friday morning to inquire about his health. Later that evening, Tollywood star Dev also arrived at the hospital to meet with Chakraborty and assess his condition.

This recent procedure follows a previous surgery performed on the actor’s right elbow. Having shown significant improvement in his physical health, Chakraborty was cleared by his medical team to return home on Saturday.
