Popular television presenter and actress Mousumi Mou has survived a severe road accident that occurred while she was returning home from a professional engagement on August 5. The artist confirmed the incident via a social media post on Thursday, detailing how a speeding pickup truck collided with her vehicle.
According to Mou, the impact of the collision forced her to be thrown from the left side of the vehicle to the right, resulting in injuries to her head, chest, hands, and legs. Despite the intensity of the crash, medical assessments have indicated that she is currently out of danger and is expected to recover.
Reflecting on the near-fatal nature of the incident, Mou noted that her makeup artist, Mumin, was following closely behind on a motorcycle. She emphasized that a difference of mere seconds could have led to a much more catastrophic outcome. She further suggested that had the pickup truck struck the vehicle directly on the door, the consequences would likely have been fatal.
Mou expressed significant frustration regarding the conduct of the truck driver, alleging that the vehicle suffered from mechanical failures, specifically citing faulty brakes. She further suggested that the driver’s behavior was erratic, raising concerns that he may have been impaired behind the wheel. Following the incident, the owner of the pickup truck reportedly informed Mou that the individual operating the vehicle had not been authorized or scheduled to drive that day.
