The leader of the weaving party was hacked to death by entering the shop in Khulna

Miscreants hacked to death a leader of the weavers’ group after entering the shop in Nayabati area of Khalishpur, Khulna. This incident took place on Saturday around 12:00 pm.
The name of the deceased leader is Sona Mia (38). He was the convener of Ward No. 10 of Khalishpur police station. He was doing grocery business in that area for a long time. Ward number 10 BNP organizational secretary Abdul Hai (Kalu) confirmed this information.
According to police and local sources, Sona Mia was staying at her shop last night. At that time, three miscreants on two motorcycles came and attacked him with sharp weapons. The assailants inflicted at least two wounds on his right arm. To save her life, Sona Mia ran out of the shop and took shelter in a nearby warehouse. After a while there, he collapsed on the ground. The assailants then quickly left the scene on a motorcycle. The local people rescued Sona Mia in critical condition and took her to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared her dead. The dead body of Sona Mia has been kept in the hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Khalishpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Atahar Ali told Prothom Alo that the deceased Sona Mia had a sharp weapon injury on her right hand and died due to excessive bleeding. An investigation has been started to find out the real reason behind the murder. Multiple teams of police are working to identify and arrest the people involved.
