Feni police arrest man for harassing schoolgirl to film TikTok video

Feni police have arrested a 20-year-old man for harassing a six-year-old schoolgirl while recording the incident for a TikTok video. The suspect, Mozammel Hossain, was taken into custody on Thursday night following a complaint filed by the victim’s family.
The incident occurred on July 28 as the second-grade student was walking home alone from school. According to reports, the young girl was accosted by three men who blocked her path and physically grabbed her, while one of the group filmed the encounter. The footage, intended for social media, subsequently went viral, prompting widespread outcry.
Acting on the victim’s father’s formal complaint under the Prevention of Cruelty to Women and Children Act, authorities launched an investigation. The police identified the primary suspect as Mozammel Hossain, a resident of the North Silonia area of Feni, originally from Cumilla. Two other suspects, identified as 20-year-old Mohammad Salman and 19-year-old Mohammad Mahfuz, remain at large.
Inspector Sajal Kanti Das of the Feni Model Police Station confirmed that the detained suspect was presented before a local court on Friday and subsequently sent to prison. Law enforcement officials stated that active operations are underway to apprehend the remaining two suspects.
