According to the latest news, details about the citizenship of the child’s parents are not yet known. Meanwhile, it is still not clear which country’s airspace the plane was in when the child landed.
In this case, at least one of his mother or father must be an American citizen. Even if the parents are not American, if the child is born on an airplane while inside US airspace, the child is automatically entitled to US citizenship.
