Authorities at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in Trishal, Mymensingh, have suspended Assistant Professor Kalyananshu Raha of the Faculty of Fine Arts following allegations that he participated in a virtual meeting with top leaders of the banned Awami League to plot the ouster of the current government.

The suspension was confirmed in an official letter issued last Thursday, signed by Khandaker Nazmul Hassan, the acting registrar of the university. While the directive was signed mid-week, the incident became public on Saturday.
