The incident occurred Sunday afternoon at the Bonarpara intersection, where 22-year-old Saifulllah Bari was fatally attacked. Preliminary investigations suggest the violence stemmed from a dispute over the formation of a local school management committee, involving clashes with members of the BNP and Juba Dal.

Another Shibir activist, Salauddin, sustained critical injuries during the same attack. After initially receiving emergency care at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra, his condition deteriorated, prompting his transfer to Dhaka for advanced treatment late Monday night. Medical staff report that he remains in critical condition.
