4 students were injured when the ceiling fan fell during classes in Fatulla

Four students were injured when a ceiling fan fell during class in a primary school in Fatulla of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila. The incident took place in a second class room of Aliganj Government Primary School in Fatulla at 11:30 on Wednesday.

Among the injured students, two named Pranjal and Jahanara have been identified. The names of the other two students were not immediately available. They were rescued and treated at the hospital.

According to eyewitness sources, at around 11:30 a.m., the ceiling fan suddenly opened and fell down while classes were going on in a class II room of Aliganj Government Primary School. Four school students in the room were injured. Later they were rescued and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Moshiur Reza, a former student of the school, said that he visited the school as a former student. As soon as we entered the classroom, the ceiling fan fell open. However, good fortune did not fall directly on anyone’s head. If so, a major accident could have occurred. Four students were injured.

Another former student and vice president of Narayanganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abu Zafar said, he went to school on the invitation of the headmaster and faced this accident. He claimed that the school building is in dilapidated condition. It is necessary to construct new buildings quickly.

The head teacher of the school, Mahmuda Ahmed, said that four students were injured when the ceiling fan was opened and fell down during the class. The building has been in a dilapidated state for a long time. Due to this accident happened. They applied for the construction of a new building.

In this regard, Narayanganj District Primary Education Officer Ferdausi Begum said, “I do not know about the matter.” Necessary measures will be taken after finding out about this.
