Police recover pistol, revolver and ammunition from Dhaka waste dump

Police recovered a pistol, a revolver, and six rounds of ammunition from an abandoned state in the capital’s Shahjahanpur area on Saturday night. The items were discovered in the South Khilgaon neighborhood, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Shahjahanpur Police Station.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media and public relations department confirmed the recovery in a press release issued on Sunday.
According to the official statement, acting on a tip-off, police conducted an operation at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday. The weapons and ammunition were found discarded in a garbage dump located on the western side of a public toilet near the Jheelpar area of South Khilgaon.
