Diplomats and representatives from numerous nations staged a mass walkout at the United Nations General Assembly as Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approached the podium to deliver his scheduled address.
As Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu advanced toward the dais, a segment of the assembly attendees vocally jeered the Israeli leader. Conversely, members of the Israeli premier's personal delegation stood and offered applause to welcome him to the podium.
The presiding session president repeatedly raised their voice to restore order and compel the assembly to quiet down amidst the escalating commotion.
Addressing the remaining audience, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remarked that individuals in the chamber who had not yet departed should also exit.
According to an official memorandum obtained by Agence France-Presse, the Palestinian delegation had formally urged other member states to jointly boycott and walk out during the address by Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
