Sarfaraz is the coach of Pakistan

Pakistan won their last ICC title in 2017. The team won the ICC Champions Trophy under the leadership of Sebar Sarfraz Ahmed.

Sarfaraz retired from international cricket last month. He also worked as a mentor and manager of Pakistan Shaheens against England Lions earlier this year.

Besides, Pakistan has also brought another World Cup winning hero to the coaching panel. In 2009, they brought in Umar Gul, one of the captains who won the T20 World Cup. He played 237 matches in three formats and took 427 wickets. He will be bowling coach in Pakistan team. 

Besides, Pakistan has brought former Test cricketer Asad Shafiq as batting coach. He also got the taste of winning the ICC trophy. In 2016, Asad was a regular part of Pakistan’s Test Championship title after rising to the top of the Test rankings led by Misbah-ul-Haq.

He has played for Pakistan in all three formats. His best performance was in Tests. He scored 4660 runs with 12 centuries in 77 Tests.
