Heat persists across Bangladesh despite scattered rain forecasts

Hot and humid conditions have returned across Bangladesh following a brief respite from two rounds of low-pressure systems, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). While isolated showers were reported in the capital and other regions on Friday, the precipitation failed to provide any significant relief from the oppressive heat.
The forecast for Saturday indicates that rainfall will persist across various parts of the country, though temperatures are expected to remain high. Meteorological officials reported that many locations within the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience rain throughout the day.
Additionally, parts of the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions are expected to see light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by temporary gusty winds. The department further warned that some regions may encounter moderate to heavy downpours.
This unsettled weather pattern is projected to continue through Sunday, with little change in the overall thermal conditions expected in the immediate future.
