Working to open up Malaysia’s labor market quickly: Adviser to Prime Minister

Mahdi Amin, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment and Spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office said that the government is working on sending Bangladeshi manpower to the closed Malaysian labor market. He said, “It is a procedural matter. We are working to unveil it as soon as possible.’

The adviser said this while talking to reporters after the meeting with the Prime Minister at the Secretariat on Sunday.

The spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office Mahdi Amin said this recently while highlighting the context of the expatriate welfare and foreign employment affairs minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury and his visit to Malaysia and the discussion with the policy makers there.

This adviser to the Prime Minister emphasized on following a more transparent process to send manpower to Malaysia and reducing immigration costs. He said, “We want our people to go through a transparent process at low cost.” I call on Malaysia to do whatever it takes to make this process syndicate-free. In this regard, our Prime Minister is also very sincere, the Prime Minister of Malaysia has also shown sincerity.
