Tania Kalam and Ershad Karim Elected to Lead Chittagong University Batch 35 Organization Jhuptri

The 35th batch of Chittagong University students has elected new leadership for their organization, “Jhupri,” following a biennial election held Friday evening at the group’s headquarters in the Sholashahar area of Chittagong city.

Tania Kalam of the Economics Department was elected president, while Mohammad Ershad Karim of the Philosophy Department secured the position of general secretary. The election commission, comprised of five members, oversaw a process in which 64 out of the organization’s 71 registered members cast their ballots via both in-person and online voting.

Following the announcement of the results, the newly elected president emphasized a commitment to strengthening the platform and expanding the organization’s involvement in social welfare initiatives.

The 13-member executive committee will also include Rajib Biswas, Anik Barua, Mohammad Idris, Sakia Sultana, Belayet Hossain, Shafiul Azam, Mahua Mahajan, Mohammad Alamgir Khan, Enamul Haque, Md. Ismail, and Joyita Majumdar.

Established in 2019, Jhupri serves as a dedicated networking and community platform for the university’s 35th batch.
