Shaheed Osman Hadi murder case: Submission of further investigation report delayed 14 times

The date of submission of the further investigation report on the murder of Inkilab Manch convener Shaheed Sharif Osman Bin Hadi has been postponed for the 14th time. The court has set a new date for submission of the report on June 7.

This report was scheduled to be submitted on Sunday. But the current investigating agency in the case, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police could not submit its report today. Later Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Joshita Islam fixed a new date for submitting the report.

Sharif Osman bin Hadi announced to be an independent candidate from Dhaka-8 constituency in the Thirteenth National Assembly Elections. On December 12 last year, the day after the announcement of the election schedule, he was shot in the box culvert road area of ​​Dhaka’s Paltan Model Police Station. He was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. From there he was taken to Evercare Hospital. On December 15, he was taken to Singapore by air ambulance for better treatment. He died on the night of December 18 while undergoing treatment at the Singapore General Hospital.

In this incident, the member secretary of Inkilab Manch, Abdullah Al Jaber, filed a case of attempted murder at the Paltan police station on December 14. Later it was converted into a murder case.

On January 6, the investigating agency of the case, the Intelligence Division (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) issued a charge sheet against 17 people. On January 15, the plaintiff in the case, Abdullah Al Jaber, objected to this charge sheet. On that day, the court directed the CID to investigate the case further.
