Primary Scholarship Exam Results Set for July 9 Release

The results for the primary scholarship examination are set to be released on July 9, according to an official from the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
A total of 82,500 students will be awarded scholarships this year. Under the established criteria, 80 percent of the awards are reserved for students from government primary schools, while the remaining 20 percent are allocated to candidates from private institutions and kindergartens.

The examination was conducted nationwide in two phases. Most districts held the assessment between April 15 and 18, 2026, while the three Chittagong Hill Tracts districts of Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban followed a separate schedule from April 17 to 20.
Upon the official announcement, guardians and students will be able to access the results through the government’s IPEMIS portal or via mobile SMS.

Scholarships are categorized into “talent pool” and “general grade” tiers, both of which provide recurring financial support. The talent pool selection will include 33,000 students, who will receive a monthly stipend ranging from 300 to 350 taka, supplemented by an annual one-time grant of 225 taka. Meanwhile, 49,500 students designated under the general grade will receive a monthly stipend of 225 to 250 taka, along with an annual one-time grant of 225 taka.
Selected students will receive these financial benefits for three years, spanning from the sixth to the eighth grade. Furthermore, the Directorate has indicated that a proposal to increase the scholarship amounts by two to four times is currently under review by the government.
