Sajedur Rahman succeeded in Vietnam Ironman

Triathlete of Bangladesh successfully completed the full distance Ironman competition in Vietnam. Sajedur Rahman. He participated alone from Bangladesh in the Ironman Vietnam held in Danang, Vietnam on Sunday. He completed the Ironman distance swimming, cycling and running in 15 hours and 34 minutes.

Triathlon is a combination of swimming, cycling and running. And the full distance Ironman held in one day is regarded as one of the toughest sporting challenges in the world. Participants in this competition have to complete 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running.

Sajedur Rahman participated in Vietnam in the 35–39 age category. According to Ironman’s official app and website, Sajedur finished 88th out of 113 competitors in his age group. Sajedur was ranked 580 out of 703 candidates in the competition.

At the end of the competition, Sajedur Rahman said about his experience, “In the beginning, I finished swimming 3.8 kilometers in 1 hour and 22 minutes and started cycling.” After crossing about 80 km, a driver suddenly tried to cross the road while braking and fell and injured his right leg. It damaged the bicycle wheel. Since the accident, the speed of the bicycle has decreased and the physical condition has also deteriorated. Then finish the race.

By the way, earlier Ironman European Championship Hamburg 2024 and Ironman Malaysia 2025 successfully completed. Sajedur Rahman. This is his third full distance Ironman. The global authority of Ironman organizes regular Ironman and Ironman 70.3 competitions in different countries around the world.
