Political Bullying of Mamata, Yogi Adityanath and Himanta Biswa Sharma in West Bengal Election Field

The electoral arena of West Bengal has become active around the West Bengal Assembly elections. While campaigning in the state on Thursday, Trinamool Congress leader and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee complained, “BJP is now trying to divide the country.” On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma campaigned in the state for BJP.

Mamata Banerjee said in a public meeting organized in Mathabhanga of Cooch Behar on Thursday that BJP is now spreading lies across Bengal. BJP is trying to divide the country. He also said, ‘This BJP is an anti-tribal and anti-Hindu party of this Bengal, an anti-Bengali party. Bengali migrant workers are still being beaten and chased away in BJP-ruled states outside Bengal. However, the Modi government has no foresight in this regard.

The Trinamool leader said that the BJP has started a conspiracy to do NRC. He termed SIRC (Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll) as a bane of democracy.

Calling BJP leaders ‘cuckoos of spring’, Mamata said, ‘They are cuckoos of spring, come election time. Again the vote goes back to Furole. They will not be accommodated in this Bengal again.’ Regarding the day of announcement of election results on May 4, he emphasized, ‘The mask will be removed after May 4. You will understand that the people of Bengal do not like you anymore. They want Mamta’s government to be a symbol of development.

Criticizing the restrictions on food habits in the BJP-ruled states, Mamata said, “Eating fish, meat and eggs is prohibited in the BJP-ruled states today. We don’t want to stop eating fish and meat in this Bengal.’ He clarified that this time his goal is to save this Bengal and occupy Delhi. From the public meeting, he raised slogans, ‘Hatao BJP, Save Bangla.’

After completing the public meeting in Mathabhanga, Mamata joined the election public meeting in Dinhata and Alipurduar in Cooch Behar. In the event, he highlighted the success of the enclave exchange in 2015 and said that decades of problems have been solved through it and people have got citizenship and permanent residence address. He pointed out that the rights of the residents of both the countries were ensured through the exchange of enclaves between India and Bangladesh.

Two BJP leaders – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma – launched a fierce attack against the Trinamool government during the West Bengal assembly election campaign. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said in a public meeting organized at Hasimara in Alipurduar, “Trinamool will sell Bengal.” Mamata is pampering illegal immigrants who have been expelled from my state Assam by settling them in this state.’

Himanta Biswa Sharma also complained that the tea workers of Bengal are not at peace. They are not getting proper salary and live in extreme poverty. Himanta Vishwasharma said, “We have to defeat the gangsters of the Trinamool and build a double engine government in Bengal.”

Meanwhile, in a public meeting organized in Bolpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘This Bengal is the Bengal that inspires India. It is the cultural capital of India and the birthplace of mystics. But Trinamool is doing communal politics in this Bengal. Mamata has bankrupted this Bengal.

Yogi Adityanath also said that if it is necessary to use ‘bulldozer’ to keep the state calm, then the West Bengal government should ask for it from them. “If you need bulldozers to keep the state calm, take them from us,” he said.

Calling for the protection of Hindus and the creation of a golden Bengal, he said that no more irregularities will be allowed with the voting this time. The formation of BJP’s ‘double engine’ government in Bengal should be ensured by driving away the vote goons.

Both these BJP leaders complained that the ruling government in the state is giving priority to protecting and pleasing its own political interests over development. They appealed to the voters of Bengal and said that there is no option but change and BJP’s double engine government to save Bengal.
