Hundreds arrested in separate raids in the capital

The police have arrested 110 people on charges of various crimes in Tejgaon, Mirpur and Gulshan areas of the capital in the last two days. Among those arrested are 49 from Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), 31 from Mirpur Thana area and 30 from Gulshan Thana area.
In a press release of DMP on Friday, it was said that five people were arrested from Tejgaon police station area, 6 people from Sherbangla Nagar, 16 people from Mohammadpur, 7 people from Adabar, 8 people from Tejgaon industrial area and 7 people from Hatirjheel police station area.

The press release also said that from Thursday to Friday, the police arrested 31 people on charges related to various crimes by carrying out a special operation in the area of Mirpur Model Police Station. Apart from this, on Friday, the police conducted special operations in different areas of Gulshan police station and arrested 30 people on charges of various crimes. Such operations will continue to suppress crime and keep the law and order situation normal.
