Compulsory retirement of 11 DIGs and 2 Additional DIGs of Police

The government sent 11 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Police and two additional DIGs on compulsory retirement. A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday.
The retired DIGs are Police Staff College DIG AFM Masum Rabbani, Commandant of Rangpur PTC. Ashrafuzzaman, DIG A ZM Nafiul Islam and Monirul Islam attached to Anti-Terrorism Unit, DIG Mohammad Faiz attached to Naval Police, DIG Mahfuzur Rahman of Directorate of Police, DIG Munibur Rahman attached to APBN Headquarters, DIG of Police Directorate Shamima Begum, DIG of Industrial Zone Police Abu Kalam Siddique, DIG of Police Telecom Aminul Islam and APBN (Hill Districts) DIG Salma Begum.
And the two additional DIGs sent on retirement are Officer on Special Duty (OSD) attached to Rangpur Range Office Iqbal Hossain and Additional DIG Tourist Police Sakhawat Hossain.
According to the notification, these BCS (Police) cadre officers have been retired from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018).
