Bangladesh and Russia Reaffirm Commitment to Deepening Bilateral Ties

Bangladesh and Russia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their long-standing bilateral relations and deepening cooperation across various sectors. The pledge was made during a high-level meeting in Moscow on Tuesday between Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and explored avenues to broaden the strategic partnership between the two nations. Both sides emphasized the necessity of maintaining consistent communication to advance their shared interests and foster stronger ties. Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir was also present during the discussions.

Minister Rahman is currently on a three-day official visit to Russia at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov. The visit serves as a platform for the Foreign Minister to engage with senior Russian officials to discuss bilateral relations, as well as critical regional and international issues.
