Nishad Islam’s father Ashraful Alam said, “The state minister spoke to me today (Sunday) on the phone of a lawyer. At that time, when I apologized to him on behalf of my son, he said that he had forgiven me yesterday (Saturday) and he would make all the arrangements for my son’s bail. Today, the state minister has made all arrangements including the appointment of a lawyer for his son’s bail. I am grateful to him (State Minister)’.

Abdus Salam, the plaintiff in the case, said, “I filed the case because of a bad post on Facebook about my party leader. But since the party and the state minister pardoned him, I had no further complaints. I did not raise any objection during the bail hearing for this.

The lawyer of the case, Mostafizur Rahman, said, “State Minister of Water Resources, Farhad Hossain Azad, gave me the responsibility to provide legal assistance for the bail of that college student.” In the statement of the case, the age of the college student is mentioned as 20 years, but after reviewing his birth certificate and SSC pass certificate, his age is found to be 16 years, 5 months and 7 days.
