Member of Parliament Mir Ahmad bin Kasem Arman mentioned in the cross-examination that all the decisions about him came from the highest level while he was missing. He said this during the interrogation of the lawyer of the accused at the International Criminal Tribunal-1 on Sunday.
Mir Ahmad bin Qasem gave his statement as the first witness on January 21 this year in the case of crimes against humanity committed in the case of hiding the Task Force for Interrogation (TFI) cell of RAB during the rule of the Awami League government. However, his interrogation did not end for so long due to various engagements including the National Assembly elections. His interrogation was completed on Sunday. Through this, his testimony in this case was completed.

In response to the cross-examination of state-appointed lawyer Amir Hossain on behalf of the fugitive accused in this case, Arman said that he did not know that Sheikh Hasina had ordered him to disappear in newspapers or any other social media. However, while he was missing, a ‘senior person’ there told him that all decisions about him come from the highest level. Then he realized that the decision about him was made on the orders of Sheikh Hasina.
Total accused in this case of TFI cell are 17 persons. Among them, 10 people are in sub-jail of Dhaka cantonment. They are Brigadier General Md. Jahangir Alam, Tofail Mustafa Sarwar, Md. Kamrul Hasan, Md. Mahabub Alam and KM Azad; Colonel Abdullah Al Momen and Anwar Latif Khan (on preparatory leave); Lt. Colonel Md. Moshiur Rahman, Saiful Islam and Md. Sarwar bin Kashem. They were produced in the tribunal yesterday.

Seven other accused in this case are absconding. They are Sheikh Hasina, her advisor Tariq Ahmed Siddique, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, former Director General of RAB Benazir Ahmed, M Khurshid Hossain and Md. Haroon Or Rashid and Lieut. Colonel (Retd.) Muhammad Khairul Islam.
