A young man was stabbed to death in Roy’s market

A young man named Asadul Haque alias Lambu Asadul (28) was stabbed to death in the Rai market of the capital on Wednesday midnight.
Police say that Asadul was killed by his accomplices. There are five cases against him in Mohammadpur police station on various charges including drugs, robbery. No one has been caught in the murder of Asadul yet.
On Thursday, Additional Commissioner of Tejgaon Division of Police Fazlul Karim told Prothom Alo that after 12 midnight yesterday, Asadul along with his associates went to Sadek Khan Itkhola area of Rayer Bazar. At one point, there was a quarrel between them. At that time, his accomplices stabbed him and ran away.
Asadul was taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital at around half past one in the morning in a bloody state. After the examination, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Police say that a knife was recovered from Asadul’s pocket.
Asadul lived in Metro housing in Mohammadpur. His village home is in Gournadi Upazila of Barisal. Father’s name is Jalil Sardar.
