A motorcyclist named Mashrafe Mustaqeem Alif (25) was killed in a head-on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction in Demra of the capital.

The accident took place on the expressway in Paiti area of ​​Demerara around 8:30 pm on Saturday.

The deceased Mashrafe was working in a private company. His father’s name is Jewel Dewan. He lived in Kutubkhali area of ​​Dania in Jatrabari.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Demra police station Rubel Howladar said that Mashrafe was driving a motorcycle on the expressway on the east side of the Piti area of ​​Demra on Saturday night at around 8:30 pm.

At that time, his motorcycle collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. He was seriously injured. Later he was rescued and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

SI Rubel further said that the truck was impounded after the accident. But the driver escaped.
