He said this at the opening ceremony of the five-day multi-purpose jute fair with 26 stalls on the occasion of Pahela Boishakh on Sunday (April 12) in the office premises of the District Commissioner of Dhaka.
Rezaul Karim invited everyone to multipurpose jute fair and said that jute is our heritage. We think jute can only make a couple of things. But here you will be surprised to see that hundreds of things can be made with jute. Even things are so beautiful that they are made of jute. We have to support the creativity of those who are working with jute products. Then the jute market will spread across the country and abroad. At the same time, when we use these products, the jute market will expand even more.
Addressing the people of Old Dhaka, the Deputy Commissioner said that everyone knows about the traditions of Old Dhaka. But there is no platform to display such a fair. Due to the lack of open space here, we face many obstacles even if we want to. This Pahela Baisakh, we want to show a little exceptional image in Old Dhaka. On Pahela Baisakh day, we have a colorful rally where we want to highlight the traditions of Old Dhaka. So that the people here can come and celebrate on that day.
