Critically ill poet Al Mujahidi

Al Mujahidi, the award winning poet, is seriously ill. At present, he is admitted in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the United Hospital in the capital, said Parma, the poet’s daughter.

In such a situation, he was admitted to the emergency department of United Hospital of the capital last Thursday evening. As the situation was serious, he was taken to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) from there.
Parma said that due to the spread of acid throughout Kabir’s body, there was also a kind of complication in his mouth. Facial surgery is required. But due to high creatinine, water accumulation in the lungs, old age and other complications, the operation cannot be done. Doctors are currently trying to slow down the heartbeat. Now electric shock therapy is needed. But his heart problem, infection in his body and old age are all complications there. On Monday the doctors will tell what can be done.

Poet Al Mujahidi was once the literary editor of Daily Ittefaq. He was associated with student politics during his student life. Actively participated in the Great War of Liberation in 1971.

He also has a research book called Kalantar Jatri. Notable children’s literature includes ‘Halum Hulum’, ‘Talpatar Sepai’, ‘Shekel Katte Khachchar Pakhi’, ‘Sonar Mati Rupor Mati’ and ‘Istishanne Whistle’.
Poet Al Mujahidi also has an essay called Society and Sociology. The translated books include ‘Kaifi Ajmi’s Poetry’, ‘Prithibir’s Poetry’, ‘Ahmed Faraz’s Poetry’, ‘Urdu Poetry’, ‘Hindi Poetry’ and ‘Heinrich Heine’s Poetry’.
