Actress Avika Gor Hospitalized With Dengue After Working Through High Fever to Honor Commitments

Actress Avika Gor has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with dengue fever, following a period in which she continued to work on professional commitments despite suffering from a high fever. Her husband, Milind Chandwani, confirmed the diagnosis and provided details regarding her condition on social media this past Friday.

According to Chandwani, the actress had been battling a severe fever for five days. Despite the illness, she insisted on fulfilling her work obligations, completing a two-day shooting schedule in a single day while suffering from a fever that reached 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

Following that production, Gor was granted a two-day break. During this time, she remained mostly bedridden, struggling with her health and unable to eat properly. Despite her physical deterioration, she traveled to Delhi to complete a commercial shoot, citing a commitment to avoid causing financial loss or scheduling delays for her colleagues and producers.

Chandwani noted that he had repeatedly urged her to postpone the work, reassuring her that the production teams would understand the circumstances. However, the actress refused to cancel, prioritizing her professional responsibilities. Members of the Delhi production crew confirmed that the actress was visibly struggling, noting that she could barely stand during the shoot and had ceased eating.

Upon returning to Mumbai, medical tests confirmed that the actress had contracted dengue. Chandwani praised his wife’s dedication to her work and her respect for the time and effort of her colleagues, describing her commitment as rare. He has since requested that her fans and followers keep her in their prayers as she undergoes treatment for a speedy recovery.

Avika Gor and Milind Chandwani were engaged in June 2025 following a long-term relationship and were married in September of the same year.
