Three Friends Killed in Head-On Collision Between Motorcycle and Bus in Faridpur

Three young men, including two Saudi expatriates, were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Barishal Highway in Faridpur on Saturday evening. The accident occurred near the Nawapara bus stand in the Bhanga municipal area at approximately 7:00 p.m.
The victims have been identified as 23-year-old motorcycle driver Chayon Molla, Siyam Molla, 23, and Nayan Hossain, 21. All three were residents of Hasanhati village in the Nagarkanda Upazila. Chayon Molla died at the scene, while Siyam Molla and Nayan Hossain succumbed to their injuries in an ambulance around 10:00 p.m. while being transported to Dhaka.
According to local accounts, the three friends had traveled from Laskardia to the Bhanga roundabout area earlier in the afternoon. The collision occurred while they were returning home.
Chayon Molla, son of Dalil Uddin Mondal, had returned to Bangladesh during the Eid-ul-Azha holiday. Siyam Molla, son of Ajgar Molla, had arrived from Saudi Arabia just 20 days prior. The third victim, Nayan Hossain, son of Enayet Hossain, had spent several months working in Kurdistan before returning to Bangladesh roughly a year ago, where he was employed as a courier delivery worker in Nagarkanda.
Local community representative Kaiyum Mia confirmed that Chayon Molla’s funeral was held on Saturday night, while the remains of Siyam Molla and Nayan Hossain were returned to the village on Sunday morning.
Bhanga Highway Police Station Sergeant Azadur Rahman stated that authorities have not yet located the bus involved in the collision. An investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the driver of the vehicle.
