The victim’s father, Mamun Mia, expressed profound grief at the hospital, describing his daughter as his only child and the focus of his future aspirations. He stated that he had high hopes for her academic success and had planned to support her transition into a career in the defense sector following the completion of her examinations.

Nawal, a resident of the Kathgar area originally from Barguna district, was described by her teachers as a vibrant and active student. She served as the team leader of the ‘Agrani House’ at her college and was known for her participation in extracurricular activities. Bobby Barua, the vice-principal of CMP School and College, who visited the grieving family, remembered Nawal as a modest and determined individual who maintained close communication with faculty about her personal and academic goals.

Professor Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury, the board’s controller of examinations, expressed deep sorrow over the loss.

Authorities have initiated legal proceedings into the incident. Mamun Mia filed a case at the Chittagong Export Processing Zone (EPZ) Police Station, naming the driver of the towing truck as the primary defendant. Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Atiqur Rahman confirmed that the driver fled the scene immediately following the collision. Police are currently conducting an investigation and actively searching for the suspect.
