Investigations revealed that Hossain had been engaged in fraudulent activities for an extended period. He frequently targeted the families of defendants involved in cases at the Motijheel and Paltan areas, as well as those pending before the special magistrate’s court. He solicited money from these families under the false pretense of securing bail, providing legal assistance, or arranging for reduced sentences for the accused.
