Jihad, son of Mosharraf Hossain, was a native of Mehendiganj in Barisal and resided on Hashem Khan Road. Investigators believe the motive for the attack was a long-standing dispute over a mobile phone. According to police, the perpetrators assaulted Jihad last Sunday night, leaving him critically injured.

Due to a deterioration in his condition, he was transferred to a private hospital in Uttara on Wednesday night, where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning. Following the death, police conducted an inquest report and a post-mortem examination before releasing the body to the victim’s family.
