Nail artist dies by suicide in capitals Bailey Road following domestic dispute

A 31-year-old nail artist, identified as Zeba Adiba, died by suicide on Monday at her residence on Bailey Road in the capital’s Ramna area. Police stated the incident followed ongoing domestic disputes.
Sub-Inspector Md. Mostafizur Rahman of Ramna Police Station confirmed that authorities recovered the body after receiving an emergency call via the 999 helpline at approximately 11:00 a.m. The body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in an apartment located in the KFC alley. Following preliminary legal procedures, the body was transported to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy in the evening.
According to initial police investigations, Adiba had been suffering from depression linked to marital discord. Officials reported that she allegedly ingested rat poison before hanging herself.
Preliminary findings suggest that Adiba, daughter of the late Abul Ahsan from New Eskaton, was in her second marriage to a man named Tonoy. Investigators indicated that the couple had been experiencing persistent friction due to suspicions regarding the husband.
Authorities stated that while domestic strife is the suspected motive, a final determination will be made pending the autopsy report and the completion of the ongoing investigation.
