Hafiz Uddin Ahmad assumes duties as acting president at Bangabhaban

Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, recognized for his gallantry as a Bir Bikrom, officially assumed his duties as acting president at Bangabhaban on Tuesday. His arrival at the presidential palace marked the formal commencement of his tenure as he began overseeing administrative affairs.

Upon his arrival at approximately 11:15 a.m., Ahmad was received at Gate No. 2 by a ceremonial mounted guard from the President Guard Regiment (PGR). Following the reception, a contingent of the PGR performed a formal guard of honor to mark the start of his leadership.

Following the ceremony, the acting president was formally greeted with floral tributes by key officials, including Military Secretary Major General A.S.M. Bahauddin, Secretary of the Public Division Khan Md. Nurul Amin, Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam, and Assistant Military Secretary Brigadier General Mohammad Raisul Islam.

Ahmad subsequently transitioned to his office to hold an inaugural session with senior staff. During the meeting, the military secretary and the public division secretary provided comprehensive briefings on the ongoing operations and administrative functions currently managed within Bangabhaban.
