Teknaf Chicken Farm Yaba 15 Crore Tk

The police seized a large consignment of 5 lakh yaba worth Tk 15 crore from a chicken farm in Rangikhali village of Hnila union in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. However, no one was arrested in this incident.

According to the district police, at around 11:30 pm on Thursday night, these yaba were seized by raiding Nurul Hossain’s chicken farm in Rangikhali area of ​​Ward No. 7 of Hnila Union. Farm owner Nurul Hossain absconding. He is the son of Gura Mia of that area.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Model Police Station. Saiful Islam told Prothom Alo that the police is working to identify the people involved in the shipment of Yaba. However, it was not possible to arrest anyone in this incident till 8:30 pm on Friday.

District Police Spokesperson and Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Devdut Majumdar said that the police acted on the basis of information that a large consignment of drugs had entered the country from Myanmar. Later, information was received that Yaba’s shipment was stored at that farm in Rangikhali area around 11 pm. On receiving the information, the police searched the farm and recovered two sacks hidden under the wood inside a room. Later two sacks were opened, 50 packets contained a total of 5 lakh yaba, which has an estimated market value of Tk 15 crore.

In this incident, Nurul Hossain has been booked under Narcotics Control Act at Teknaf Model Police Station as a fugitive accused.
