According to the Meteorological Department, 59 millimeters of rain fell in the capital from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Directorate meteorologist AK Nazmul Islam told Prothom Alo today that it is a lot of rain for the capital.
Rainfall between 44 and 88 mm is called heavy rain. More than this is considered as heavy rain.

This morning, rain fell in the capital and the clouds moved towards Narsingdi and Comilla. Meteorological Department sources said that in the morning it rained in Noakhali, Comilla, Sirajganj of North Bengal, Gaibandha and Tangail near Dhaka. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick, meteorologist of Meteorological Department, said that there is a chance of rain again in the capital this afternoon or evening.
