The explosion occurred early Sunday morning in the ground-floor flat of the nine-story building. Investigators believe gas accumulated in the room due to a leak in the kitchen’s gas line. The Fire Service reported that the accumulated gas ignited with a loud bang when a stove or lighter was switched on in the early hours of the morning, leading to the inferno that consumed the family.
