Singer-Activist Kaiser Hamids Daughter Karimah Taken to India for Treatment

Content creator and actress Karina Kaysar was airlifted to Chennai, India, late Monday for advanced medical treatment following a severe deterioration of her health due to critical liver complications. The popular figure, who had been on life support in a private hospital in Dhaka, departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11 p.m. aboard an air ambulance and was admitted to a hospital in Chennai in the early hours of Tuesday.
Family sources indicated that Kaysar had been unwell for several days before her condition rapidly worsened, necessitating her hospitalization. Doctors treating her in Dhaka diagnosed her with a severe infection and Hepatitis A, compounded by a history of fatty liver. These complications escalated, ultimately leading to liver failure and her placement on life support.
Accompanying Kaysar on the air ambulance were her mother and two brothers. Her father, former national football star Kaysar Hamid, remained in Bangladesh to manage urgent matters and secure the substantial funds required for his daughter’s extensive treatment.
Speaking to the media, Hamid detailed the immense financial burden on the family, revealing that they have had to break fixed deposits and initiate the sale of land to cover the considerable costs of medical care and the air ambulance. He also mentioned having other critical responsibilities in Bangladesh that prevented him from joining his daughter immediately.
Earlier on Monday, Hamid confirmed that the special air ambulance from Chennai was en route and that family members’ visas had been secured. He also shared that, as of Tuesday, there had been no significant change in Karina’s overall condition, though doctors had successfully stabilized her blood pressure.
Karina Kaysar gained significant popularity through her vibrant presence on social media and has recently expanded her work into acting and scriptwriting. Her notable projects include the series *Internship* and *36-24-36*. Her father has appealed to the public for prayers for her swift recovery.
