Youth killed by train at Shahagola station in Naogaon while wearing headphones

A 20-year-old man was killed after being struck by a train in the Atrai Upazila of Naogaon district on Sunday night. The victim has been identified as Elias, a resident of Chapra village.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. near the Shahagola Railway Station. According to witnesses and local authorities, Elias was walking along the railway tracks when he was struck by the Rajshahi-bound Titumir Express train, which was traveling from Santahar. He died at the scene.

Dulal Hossain, a sub-inspector with the Santahar Railway Police, stated that the victim was wearing headphones while walking on the tracks, which likely prevented him from hearing the approaching train.

Following the incident, railway police recovered the body and transported it to Naogaon General Hospital for an autopsy. An investigation into the circumstances of the fatality is ongoing.
