Dhaka Metropolitan Police raid Banasree residence following false robbery report

Detectives from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted an armed operation in the Banasree area of the capital on Sunday following reports of a robbery in progress. Law enforcement officials took extreme precautions to prevent the suspects from fleeing, including positioning a truck filled with sand at the entrance of the alley to block exit routes.

The operation, led by the Motijheel Division of the Detective Branch (DB), commenced at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Road 2 of Block C in Banasree. Despite surrounding the building and conducting a thorough search that lasted for an hour and a half, officers found no evidence of a robbery taking place.
