Walton and Prothom Alo distribute prizes to winners of 2026 World Cup football quiz competition

Winners of the Walton-Prothom Alo World Cup Football Quiz 2026 received a range of prizes, including air conditioners, refrigerators, LED televisions, and microwave ovens, during a ceremony held on Sunday. The event took place at the Prothom Alo office in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, where prizes were distributed to 18 of the 20 total winners, as two individuals were unable to attend.
The prizes were presented by senior officials from Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, including Senior Additional Executive Director Rabiul Islam, Senior Operative Director Augustine Sujan, and Additional Director Abdullah Al Mamun. Prothom Alo officials, including Chief Sports Editor Utpal Shuvro, General Manager of Circulation Sales Arup Kumar Ghosh, and Deputy General Manager of Business Development and Advertisement Mohammad Hasan Tareq, were also in attendance. The competition was organized by Prothom Alo and sponsored by Walton during the World Cup tournament.
Abhijit Chakraborty from Chittagong, the grand prize winner of the mega quiz, received an air conditioner. Expressing his excitement, Chakraborty noted that he had participated in previous competitions but this marked his first major win. Other mega quiz winners included Dr. Abrar Masud from Chittagong, who received a refrigerator; Abdul from Dhaka, who was awarded a smart television; and Sharmin from Chittagong, who received an oven.
Prizes were also distributed to winners across four stages of the competition. The first-stage winners from Dhaka included Sabah Bin Kamal, Khairunnesa, Abdul Quader Sarkar, and Sathi, who received a blender, an electric iron, a tornado fan, and a feature phone, respectively.
Second-stage winners included Farhana from Dhaka, who received a blender; Ismail from Comilla, who won an electric iron and a tornado fan; and Dadan from Dhaka, who was awarded an oven. Third-stage winners were Jannat from Comilla, who won a blender; Md. Ataur Rahman from Comilla, who received an electric iron; and Khadija from Dhaka, who was awarded both a tornado fan and a feature phone.
Finally, fourth-stage prizes were awarded to Ismail from Comilla, who won a blender; Jasmine from Comilla, who received an electric iron; Parul Akter from Dhaka, who won a tornado fan; and Md. Marjan Dewan from Barisal, who received a feature phone.
