The New Zealand cricket team is chasing a target of 266 runs in the ‘undeclared final’ of the three-match ODI series.

New Zealand won the toss and sent the Bangladesh team to bat first at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Thursday. Batting first, Bangladesh lost 3 wickets for 32 runs and fell into danger.

Former captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto and wicketkeeper batsman Liton Kumar Das brought the team back to the game from that situation. They made a partnership of 160 runs off 178 balls for the fourth wicket.

Bangladesh lost the fourth wicket for 192 runs. Liton returned to the dressing room after scoring his 13th fifty in the 101st ODI of his career. He scored 76 runs off 91 balls with three fours and a six.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto returned as the fifth batsman for the team’s 221 runs. He returned to the dressing room with his fourth century in the 64th ODI of his career. His innings was studded with 9 fours and two sixes off 119 balls.

After a quiet dismissal, the tail batsmen took part in the procession. That’s why Bangladesh couldn’t score more than 265 runs after losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. Captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj scored 22 runs off 18 balls in the end. Tawheed Hridoy was unbeaten on 33 runs off 29 balls with two fours and a six.
