Unconscious drug dealer swallows 10-12 yaba pills to avoid arrest

A drug dealer fell unconscious after swallowing 10-12 yaba pills while avoiding arrest from the police. Later he was rescued and admitted to hospital under police guard. The incident took place in Nilkhola area near Toraki bus stand of Gournadi upazila of Barisal on Sunday night.
The name of the person arrested by the police is Sanwar Hossain (35). According to the police, Sanwar is a resident of Munshiganj district. He had been dealing in drugs from a rented house in South Palradi area of Gourandi Municipality for a long time. There are several drug-related cases against him in the police station.
Gournadi Model Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) confirmed the incident. Sarabat Ali said that when Sanwar Hossain was asked to stand as a suspect during the anti-narcotics operation in Nilkhola area around 9:30 pm on Sunday, he tried to run away. At that time, the police chased him and arrested him. After being detained, Sanwar chewed and swallowed 10-12 yaba pills with him. At one point he became unconscious. Later some more yaba pills were recovered after searching his body. Detained Sanwar Hossain is admitted to Gournadi Upazila Health Complex. He regained consciousness.
Officer-in-charge of Gournadi Model Police Station Tariq Hasan Russell said that Sanwar Hossain was admitted to the hospital under police guard in an unconscious state. If he recovers, legal action will be taken against him and sent to court.
