Two brothers drowned in the nearby pond while playing in the courtyard of their house in Natore

Two brothers were playing in the yard in the morning. In the afternoon, after searching for them, their bodies were found floating in the nearby pond. This incident took place in Singra Upazila of Natore on Friday afternoon.

Deceased Tamim Hossain (12) and Fahim Hossain (13) are sons of Abdul Momin, residents of Bara Adimpur village of Dahia Union in Singra.

According to Singra police station and local sources, Tamim and Fahim went to play in the yard of the house in the morning. Mother was busy with housework. After not seeing the boys for a long time, he started searching. Around 12:30 noon, neighbors saw two children floating in the pond next to the house. They were quickly rescued and taken to the local union health center where the doctor declared them dead.

Neighbor Siddique Ali said that Tamim and Fahim used to live with their mother in their house. The two brothers used to travel and play together. They also died together.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singra Police Station Rafiqul Islam said that the family has no complaint in the death of two children. Family members are making arrangements for their burial.
