The official of Biman has been temporarily suspended

General Manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Mizanur Rashid has been suspended. He was temporarily suspended in a letter signed by Biman’s managing director and CEO on Tuesday.
According to the letter, he has been suspended under Article 58 of Bangladesh Biman Corporation Employees (Service) Regulations 1979.
Earlier on Monday morning, Bangladesh Airlines General Manager (GM) Mizanur Rashid was promoted to the post of Executive Director (ED). That order was mysteriously canceled later that afternoon. Yesterday, there was a lot of discussion within the organization around this incident.
According to Biman sources, an order signed by General Manager (Administration and Human Resources) Khandaker Baki Uddin Ahmed from the Administration and Human Resources Department informed about the promotion of Mizanur Rashid. After this news was published, there was a huge discussion among Biman’s employees and many congratulated him.
However, within a few hours, the situation took a dramatic turn. In the afternoon, another notification was issued by the same department declaring the previous order of promotion and posting completely null and void. Questions have been raised inside and outside the plane as to why the decision was changed so quickly.
According to several sources of Biman, he was facing a departmental case for embezzling about three crore taka for buying software with government funds. Mizanur Rasheed. Although he was later acquitted of the case, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is still investigating the matter.
According to the related sources, he was transferred to the Finance and Accounts Department while holding the post of General Manager (Vehicles) on March 4. The next day he was again appointed as General Manager of Administration and Human Resources Department. He was also given the additional charge of Director of Administration and Human Resources and Director of Finance, a position higher than the General Manager.
