The businessman’s body was recovered from his house in Bangshal

The police recovered the body of a businessman with his hands and feet tied from a house in Old Dhaka’s Banshal. The body was recovered from a house on Bagdasa Lane in Banshal police station area on Tuesday afternoon. A cloth was stuffed in his mouth.

According to the police, the businessman’s name is Nesar Ali (50). He rented a room on the second floor of a five-story building for three months. His house is in Shyamalgachi of Sharsha in Jessore. One of his college-going sons lives in Dhaka’s Maniknagar area.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lalbagh Division of Police Talebur Rahman told Prothom Alo that businessman Neshar Ali lived alone in that house. He is believed to have been killed between 11pm on Monday and 1am today.

According to the police, today at noon, the owner of the house, Mohammad Hossain, saw the lights on in the room of Nesar Ali on the second floor and called out. He did not respond to this. After removing the window curtain, he saw Nesar Ali lying frozen on the bed. Later he called 999. The police came and recovered the body.
