Iran appreciates Bangladesh’s balanced position in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East. Besides, the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka will continue its efforts to facilitate the safe movement of Bangladeshi ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Embassy in Dhaka said this in a press release on Tuesday.

According to the notification, the relations between Iran and Bangladesh are long-standing, friendly and brotherly based on mutual respect and common values. Iran reiterates its firm commitment to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.

The Iranian Embassy in Dhaka welcomed the meeting between Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khatibzadeh and Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The embassy will earnestly pursue constructive and fruitful engagements and initiatives between the officials of the two countries and emphasizes the importance of further expansion of bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest, the release said.

According to the embassy, ​​Iran appreciates the balanced and constructive stance of the Bangladesh government in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East through dialogue and diplomacy, which is essential for the region and the wider international community.

According to the notification, the embassy expresses its sincere gratitude for the condolence message sent by the Bangladesh government after the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic revolution, the leader of the Ummah and the great leader of Iran. Appreciating the passing of a condolence resolution in the inaugural session of the Thirteenth National Parliament, which is a remarkable and exceptional initiative.

The Embassy is grateful for the presence of a senior official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh to sign the condolence book at the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka. Apart from this, the embassy also appreciates the decision of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh to send emergency medical aid to Iran through the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.

According to the embassy, ​​Iran appreciated the support of the government and people of Bangladesh. Also expressing deep sorrow for the Bangladeshi citizens who died as a result of the war started by the US and the Zionist regime and their illegal aggression against Iran. Wishing speedy recovery to those injured in this unfortunate incident.

According to the notification, the Iranian Embassy will continue its efforts to facilitate the safe passage of Bangladeshi ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Apart from this, it also facilitated the safe return of 186 citizens of Bangladesh from Iran through Azerbaijan.

The Iranian Embassy in Dhaka has expressed displeasure over the publication of selected parts of media interviews on Middle East events. The Embassy also considers the misrepresentation and selective presentation of news to be deplorable and contrary to the principles of responsible media conduct.
