Saudi Minister Commends Bangladesh for Efficient Hajj Management

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, has lauded the Bangladeshi government for its efficient and disciplined management of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. The commendation was delivered during a bilateral meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday with Bangladesh’s Minister of Religious Affairs, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaykobad, held at The Pilgrims Experience Program Center.

During the discussions, Minister Al-Rabiah praised the Ministry of Religious Affairs for its successful leadership and the seamless coordination displayed in serving pilgrims throughout the season. Extending his gratitude through the religious minister, Al-Rabiah thanked the Bangladeshi leadership for the dedication shown in facilitating the religious journey for its citizens.

Looking ahead, the Saudi minister expressed an interest in fostering continued collaboration with Bangladesh to further modernize Hajj operations. He outlined Saudi Arabia’s strategic vision to integrate advanced technologies into the pilgrimage experience by 2027, inviting Bangladesh to share its expertise and participate in the ongoing evolution of these services.

In response, Minister Kaykobad commended the Saudi government for ensuring a secure and well-managed environment for pilgrims. He highlighted the effectiveness of Saudi Arabia’s crowd control measures, the streamlined traffic flow, and the significant advancements in the utilization of information technology, particularly within the Mashaaer region.

The Bangladeshi minister extended his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and Minister Al-Rabiah for their commitment to providing high-quality services to the guests of Allah. He reaffirmed that Bangladesh remains a steadfast partner to Saudi Arabia in enhancing religious cooperation.

The meeting, which also included the Bangladeshi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Delwar Hossain, and various high-ranking officials from both nations, concluded with a mutual commitment to further strengthen the fraternal ties between the two countries regarding future Hajj management and bilateral cooperation.
